San Jose Against War stands in solidarity with grad student Rick Toledo of Cal Poly Humboldt Students for a Democratic Society against his unfair arrest and targeting by the state of California for protesting on Feb 27 for campus divestment from Israeli apartheid and in support of Palestine.
It is our right to practice free speech and it is our duty as people of conscience to fight against political repression, censorship, and surveillance against anti-war and international solidarity activists in the U.S.
Rick Toledo is an upstanding community member and is always looking out for those around him. His successful organizing of local activists around Palestine, immigration rights, and student issues is precisely why he is being targeted by a university administration beholden to the zionist California State University system.
The student and anti-war movements are closely linked and repression against student protesters and the student movement which invigorated the Palestine solidarity movement demands resistance.
